Introduction

IMHCN developed this call for transformation in 2024. This was launched at a conference in November 2024 in London. This was well attended and many supporters wanted to be involved in the campaign (link). Redefining Horizons has been established as a Community Interest Organisation in the UK to take forward this campaign and to ensure a focus on this ten year campaign.

This campaign sets out a ten-year plan for a movement to radically shift mental health services towards a more humane, compassionate, and effective community-based model. Where we set out the case for change, what needs to be done and some solutions for service structures, recovery based practices and out-dated culture.
